British Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized the importance of open and honest dialogue with Chinese President Xi Jinping in a statement released on Friday. The discussion focused on contentious issues like Hong Kong, Russia's war in Ukraine, and human rights, according to Starmer's office.
Both leaders acknowledged the significance of their roles as Permanent Members of the UN Security Council, agreeing on the necessity of close collaboration on global challenges such as climate change and international security.
