Man Arrested in Navi Mumbai for Murder During Robbery Attempt

A man was arrested in Navi Mumbai for allegedly murdering Sushilkumar Bhind during a robbery. Bhind was found dead along Belapur-Thane road. Investigations led to Sameer Amjit Sheikh's arrest after checking CCTV footage. The victim had left home to repair his phone before going missing.

A man was apprehended in Navi Mumbai, suspected of murdering Sushilkumar Bhind during an attempted robbery, as reported by a police official on Thursday.

Bhind's body was discovered along Belapur-Thane road on August 5, prompting Rabale police to register a murder case. Bhind, from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, had traveled to Mulund, Mumbai to repair his phone on August 4 and subsequently went missing.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ajaykumar Landge revealed that a key lead was found in Bhind's trousers: a piece of paper with a mobile phone number. More than 150 CCTV cameras between Koparkhairane and Ghansoli were checked, revealing the presence of a motorcycle near the crime scene. On Wednesday night, Sameer Amjit Sheikh was arrested, accused of killing Bhind in a robbery attempt. Further investigation is ongoing.
