The CCTV footage from a bar where Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule's son Sanket and his friends had drinks before their Audi crashed into several vehicles in Nagpur on September 9 is missing, said police on Thursday. Investigators have confiscated the bar's DVR as part of their probe.

Sanket Bawankule's Audi, allegedly driven by Arjun Hawre, hit multiple vehicles in Ramdaspeth early Monday, injuring two people on a moped. The occupants of another car chased and apprehended Hawre and Ronit Chittwamwar, handing them over to police. Hawre was arrested and later released on bail.

The Sitabuldi police station official noted that the bar's manager initially refused to hand over the CCTV footage but complied after being threatened with legal action. Upon review, it was discovered the footage has been missing since Sunday night. The investigation continues, although Sanket was not driving at the time of the incident.
