Sharad Pawar Receives Z Plus Security Cover: A Safeguard for the Tallest Political Leader

NCP (SP) emphasized the importance of Sharad Pawar's safety as the veteran politician receives Z plus security cover from the Centre, following a threat assessment review. The Union Home Ministry has instructed CRPF to implement this highest level of armed VIP protection for the 83-year-old ex-Union minister.

The NCP (SP) on Wednesday underscored the priority of ensuring the safety of party chief Sharad Pawar, one of India's most prominent political figures, after the Centre assigned him the highest category of armed VIP security cover, Z plus.

Party spokesperson Clyde Crasto expressed concern over the situation, stating that if the Z plus security was granted following a threat assessment review, it should be taken seriously.

The Union Home Ministry has tasked the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) with providing this security, allocating a team of 55 armed personnel to protect the 83-year-old former chief minister of Maharashtra.
