Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the alleged sexual abuse of minor girls at a fake NCC camp in Krishnagiri district.

Senior IPS officer K Bhavaneeswari will head the SIT, which aims to expedite the investigation within 15 days and file charges within 60 days, according to an official statement.

The CM also directed the establishment of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), led by Social Welfare Department Secretary Jayashree Muralidharan, to recommend preventive measures against such incidents. The MDT will include representatives from the police and education departments and will ensure the well-being of the affected children.

An eighth-grade girl was allegedly assaulted at the fake NCC camp, and 11 individuals, including the main suspect, have been arrested. The authorities are probing whether similar fake camps exist elsewhere. The Chief Minister has called for stringent punishment for the perpetrators.
