One individual lost their life, and five others sustained injuries after a clash between two groups in Bhuvapur village, as confirmed by local police on Wednesday.

The altercation, which took place on Tuesday night within the jurisdiction of Kakroli police station, led to the arrest of one person. Authorities have since increased police presence in the affected area.

The conflict began as a disagreement between Amit and Shubham over purchasing goods from Amit's shop. The argument quickly escalated into a violent confrontation, involving the use of lathis and sharp-edged weapons, explained Circle Officer (CO) Ravishankar.

The police were promptly dispatched to the scene following a distress call. A case has been registered, and one individual has been detained. The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Nikhil. The injured, Shubham, Ramesh, Prashant, Tushar, and Banti, are currently receiving medical treatment, according to CO Ravishankar.

As a precautionary measure, security has been tightened in the village, with additional police forces deployed to maintain order.
