Gurugram Police Arrest Duo for Extortion of Waste Management Employee

In a significant crackdown, Gurugram police have apprehended two individuals in connection with an alleged extortion attempt targeting an employee of a waste management company. This development was confirmed by officials on Thursday.

The apprehended suspects, identified as Nitin Panwar and Harbir alias Pradhan, were taken into custody following a complaint lodged by the victim. The complainant, an employee with the waste management firm, reported that a man had demanded monthly payments to permit their operational activities within Gurugram.

Acting swiftly on the complaint, law enforcement personnel registered an FIR at the Civil Lines police station and managed to detain the accused in Manesar on Wednesday night. Preliminary investigations uncovered multiple extortion cases and arms act violations linked to the suspects. Authorities are continuing the interrogation process to gather more details.
