Madhya Pradesh Police Arrest All Accused in Assault on Army Officer and Friend

Madhya Pradesh Police have apprehended the remaining three suspects involved in the assault case on a young Army officer and his friend in Indore district, bringing the total number of arrests to six, a police official confirmed on Friday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG, Rural) Nimish Agarwal informed ANI that the incident, under the jurisdiction of Badgonda police station in rural Indore, involved six accused individuals. Three were detained from the forest on Friday. A police remand will be sought for further questioning. The suspects face charges including ransom, robbery, and gang rape. Initial interrogations reveal two of the accused confessed to the crime, with investigations continuing.
DIG Agarwal also noted that statements from the women involved have yet to be recorded. The assaulted young Army officer is from the Military Headquarters of Warfare (Mhow) Infantry School. An FIR states that one of the two female friends with them was allegedly sexually assaulted by the assailants.
Indore Rural SP Hitika Vasal previously informed ANI that the incident took place at the Army firing range on Wednesday. The complaint includes allegations that the suspects demanded Rs 10 lakhs from the victims. A female friend was taken aside, and her screams were heard by the complainant, raising concerns of sexual assault. Police arrived promptly but the suspects fled upon seeing them.
