A 19-year-old college student was tragically shot dead at his Adarsh Nagar home on Monday, a day after celebrating Rakshabandhan with his family, police reported.

The incident occurred in the afternoon. The accused, accompanied by an accomplice who stood guard outside, fled the scene on a motorcycle, officials said.

The deceased, Arun, was a second-year architecture student at Deenbandhu College in Rohtak, residing in Sampla. He had come home on Sunday.
