In a recent spate of violence in the Jammu region, a CRPF inspector was killed during a terrorist ambush in Udhampur's Dudu area on Monday.

The assault occurred around 3:30 pm when a patrol comprising CRPF personnel and the Special Operations Group of the local police came under heavy fire. Officials confirmed that CRPF Inspector Kuldeep Kumar, from the 187th battalion, was tragically hit and succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.

A police spokesman reported an exchange of gunfire between the assailants and the patrol team during the operation in Chill village of Dudu. Though the terrorists managed to escape after a strong counterattack, security reinforcements have been deployed, and an extensive manhunt is underway to neutralize the threat.
