Prison Break: Four Inmates Escape from Arunachal Pradesh Jail

Four prisoners escaped from a jail in Arunachal Pradesh's Namsai district early Sunday. They broke the rod of a ventilator, injured the sentry, and escaped. Police identified them as Mineswar Dihingia, Gopal Munda, Arjun Kandha, and Robin Surin. A massive hunt is underway to recapture them.

Four inmates made a daring escape from a jail in Arunachal Pradesh's Namsai district in the early hours of Sunday, authorities reported. The prisoners broke the rod of a ventilator, assaulted the guard on duty, and fled the facility around 12.30 am.

Identified as Mineswar Dihingia (37), Gopal Munda (23), Arjun Kandha (27), and Robin Surin (45), the fugitives were charged with various serious offenses. Dihingia was a militant of NSCN(U), Munda was accused of rape under IPC section 376 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, Kandha was charged with kidnapping under IPC section 363, and Surin faced charges including murder under IPC section 302.

Namsai's Superintendent of Police Sange Thinley and SDPO J Molo have launched an extensive manhunt to capture the escaped prisoners. The police are employing all available resources to track down the men, aiming to ensure their swift recapture.
