Activist T J Abraham, a key complainant in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority site allotment scam against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, announced his intention on Saturday to approach the special court for public representatives. He seeks to ensure the court takes cognisance of the corruption sanction granted by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot.

Abraham stated, "We will present this permission before the special court, requesting the judge to take cognisance of it or refer it under 156(3) of CrPC. I intend to do this on August 21." Governor Gehlot recently sanctioned prosecution under Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and Section 218 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.

Activist Pradeep Kumar S P, also a petitioner, revealed that he has filed a caveat in the Karnataka High Court. "I filed the caveat to prevent Siddaramaiah from obtaining relief without the court considering our side. This action ensures our arguments will be heard in the court," Kumar explained.
