Atlanta Federal Reserve President Raphael Bostic, in an interview with the Financial Times, revealed his openness to an interest rate cut as early as September.

Bostic stressed the urgency of the situation, stating that the U.S. central bank cannot afford to delay in easing its monetary policies.

"I'm open to something happening in terms of us moving before the fourth quarter," Bostic told the newspaper.
