In a significant incident, as many as 3,800 bamboo and 36 projector lights, collectively valued at over Rs 50 lakh, were reportedly stolen from Bhakti Path and Ram Path, both high-security areas in Ayodhya. The police have confirmed the theft on Tuesday.

An FIR was lodged at the Ram Janmabhoomi police station following an August 9 complaint by a representative of Yash Enterprises and Krishna Automobiles. These firms had installed the lights under a contract awarded by the Ayodhya Development Authority.

According to Shekhar Sharma from Yash Enterprises, 6,400 bamboo lights and 96 projector lights had originally been installed. However, upon inspection on May 9, it was found that a significant number of them were missing. The police are currently investigating the incident.
