Russia's western Lipetsk region faced a 'massive attack' by Ukrainian drones on Friday morning, resulting in explosions and significant disruptions to the power supply, as confirmed by regional governor Igor Artamonov on Telegram.

In response, authorities declared a state of emergency and began evacuating four villages in the Lipetsk municipal district. Some of these villages are located near an air force base outside Lipetsk city. Artamonov also clarified that social media calls for an entire city evacuation were part of Ukraine's psychological warfare tactics.

As of now, there have been no reports from Ukrainian authorities confirming any strikes in the region and no casualties have been reported.
