Imran Ansari, the head of the All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association, on Tuesday made a fervent appeal to the Indian government to take a decisive stand against the persecution of the Shia community in Pakistan. Ansari emphasized the urgent need for intervention to prevent a potential massacre in Parachinar.
In his letter to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Ansari lamented the years of sectarian violence and the Pakistani government's inaction, which have emboldened extremist groups and left the Shia community vulnerable.
