Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas on Monday of obstructing a ceasefire and hostage release deal in Gaza, asserting that Israel has not altered any of its conditions.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israel remains committed to the original proposal's principles, notably the release of the maximum number of hostages still alive.

Other stipulations include Israeli control over the Gaza-Egypt border corridor and preventing the re-entry of weapons and Palestinian militants into northern Gaza.
