An 11-year-old boy named Sashank Shikhar was allegedly kidnapped while returning home from school in Bijnor's Dhampur area, police reported on Friday. Authorities have deployed three police teams in an effort to trace the missing child, Superintendent of Police (SP) Bijnor Abhishek Kumar disclosed.

Shikhar was last seen after being dropped off by his school van near his residence. One of his shoes was discovered near a local canal, adding to the family's suspicions that he has been kidnapped, the SP stated.

The investigation is currently ongoing, with police appealing for any information from the public to aid in the search for the boy.
