The Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) announced on Wednesday that its Executive Committee has proposed to remove Vice-President Abhi Dahiya, citing his alleged role in vandalizing the offices of fellow office bearers.

The proposal is set to be reviewed by the Central Council and will be discussed in a meeting of presidents from various student unions to make a final decision, according to DUSU's statement.

The allegations surfaced after a DUSU office in North Campus was reportedly ransacked on Sunday. The ABVP claimed that Dahiya, affiliated with the Congress-backed NSUI, was involved. However, the NSUI denied these accusations, countering that ABVP members vandalized Dahiya's office instead.

An FIR has been registered, and Delhi University has formed a four-member committee led by Proctor Rajni Abbi to investigate. The committee aims to submit its report within seven days.
