External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar arrived in Mauritius on Tuesday for a two-day visit to bolster the special relationship between India and Mauritius.

Marking one of his first bilateral engagements following his reappointment, Jaishankar's visit underscores the importance of the India-Mauritius ties and aligns with India's 'Neighbourhood First Policy' and Vision SAGAR.

Upon arrival, he was warmly received by Maneesh Gobin, Mauritius' Minister of Foreign Affairs. Jaishankar will hold comprehensive discussions with Mauritius' Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and other senior ministers to further strengthen bilateral relations and deepen people-to-people connections.
