Tihar jail authorities on Monday refuted claims made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) regarding the deteriorating health of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during his time in prison, asserting that he had lost only 2 kg and was being consistently monitored by a medical board from AIIMS.

In a report submitted to the Delhi government's Home Department, Tihar jail officials detailed Kejriwal's health metrics and accused AAP leaders of confusing and misleading the public. Conversely, senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh alleged that the 'leaked' report showed Kejriwal experiencing multiple hypoglycemia episodes in jail.

Singh had earlier claimed that Kejriwal lost 8.5 kg and had dangerously low blood sugar levels on several occasions. The authorities, however, stated that Kejriwal's weight had been closely monitored, showing minimal reduction. This back-and-forth adds another layer to the ongoing contention between the Tihar administration and AAP regarding Kejriwal's well-being.
