A youth named Mohit was beaten to death following an altercation over a mobile phone, according to local police reports.

On July 10, Mohit's phone went missing in Khushhalgarh village, and he was informed that Prabhat possessed it. When confronted, Prabhat denied holding the phone, leading to a fight. Police intervention initially attempted to mediate a solution, but tensions escalated.

On July 13, an official complaint was filed by Prabhat's mother, Neeraj Devi, accusing Mohit of attacking her husband, Manoj. Though Manoj later died from heart failure, his family alleges the fight caused his death. Subsequent investigations led to the suspension of an outpost incharge for failure to notify senior officers.
