In a heartfelt message, Naidu expressed deep condolences to Gopikrishna's family residing in Bapatla district, promising to extend every possible assistance from the state government. "Deeply saddened to learn that young Dasari Gopikrishna from Bapatla has succumbed to injuries sustained in a shooting incident in Texas, USA. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family and assure them... every possible support to help bring him home," Naidu shared on social media platform X.
Gopikrishna, 32, from Yajali village, had moved to the US for work about a year ago. He was reportedly shot at by a thief while working at a retail outlet in Texas. His parents, D Srinivasa Rao and Dhanalakshmi, are devastated, awaiting the return of their son's body.
