In the wake of allegations about the use of animal fat instead of ghee in Tirupati Prasadam, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh declared that no one involved in the controversy will be spared. He emphasized that the sentiments of many, including his own, have been deeply hurt.

Referring to a July report, Lokesh stated that government labs confirmed the presence of animal fat. He mentioned that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's allegations are backed by facts and that extensive actions would be taken beyond just a CBI inquiry. Lokesh criticized former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of lacking vision.

Opposition leaders have blamed the previous government for hurting Hindu sentiments, calling for accountability. Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu stressed the importance of faith, supporting the inquiry. This controversy follows claims of substandard ingredients in Tirupati laddus during the YSRCP regime.

Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy responded by defending the tender process, insisting that it complies with stringent quality standards. He accused the TDP of politicizing religious matters and announced intentions to communicate with Prime Minister Modi and Chief Justice Chandrachud.
