Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday for a significant two-day visit. The trip involves the inauguration and launch of projects valued at Rs 1,500 crore, in addition to his participation in the International Yoga Day.

Accompanied by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Modi made his way to the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), perched on the picturesque banks of Dal Lake, where he was greeted with flowers and traditional Kashmiri songs.

''Leaving for Srinagar, where I will be taking part in two programmes. Later this evening, I will be at the 'Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K' programme, which focuses on youth-led development,'' he announced before his departure.

The prime minister will inaugurate infrastructure, water supply, and education projects. On the next morning, he will join the 10th International Day of Yoga event at SKICC in Srinagar, address the gathering, and participate in the CYP Yoga session.
