Authorities have identified Constable Wali, a police officer, as the primary facilitator behind the Peshawar Police Lines bombing. Serving in the Peshawar Police for seven years, Wali, originally from the tribal district of Mohmand, played a crucial role in supplying key information to the suicide bomber. His trips to Afghanistan had raised suspicions, and investigative reports indicate he has ideologically supported terrorism for several years.

Reports further state that Wali provided critical assistance to the suicide bomber, including granting access to the target area, allowing entry in uniform, and advising on necessary procedures. His family has been interrogated, and two individuals from his home have been arrested. Security sources said Wali had worked at various locations, including the Peshawar Police Lines. His involvement was uncovered following the recent arrest of the mastermind behind the attack, leading to Wali's apprehension.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, security officials, and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) confirmed that the joint operation led to Wali's arrest. The Peshawar mosque bombing occurred on January 30, 2023, during Friday prayers, when the suicide bomber detonated his device, causing massive casualties with over 100 people killed and many more injured. This tragic incident, one of the deadliest attacks in recent years, has heightened concerns about regional security and ongoing militant violence.
