Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while addressing students and faculty at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., shared his thoughts on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian identity. He clarified that he does not hate Modi but disagrees with his viewpoints, highlighting empathy and compassion over animosity.

Gandhi emphasized that India is fundamentally an idea of merging diverse traditions, languages, and religions. Contrasting this with the BJP and RSS ideology, he noted their misunderstanding of India as a collection of separate entities. He used the metaphor of a 'thali' to illustrate the interconnectedness of Indian culture.

Addressing his 'Mohabbat Ki Dukaan' slogan, Gandhi reiterated his stance of disagreement rather than hatred towards Modi. Regarding political challenges, he highlighted the dual task of contesting elections and reversing the damage done by BJP-RSS to Indian institutions as significant hurdles for the Congress party.

During his U.S. visit, Gandhi called the Indian diaspora a 'vital bridge' between India and the United States. He interacted with students and faculty at the University of Texas and addressed the Indian community in Virginia and Dallas.
