India and Singapore Seal Four Key Agreements in Digital, Semiconductor, Health, and Education Sectors
India and Singapore signed four significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit. These agreements aim to enhance collaboration in digital technologies, semiconductor ecosystems, health and medical research, and education and skills development, fostering stronger ties between the two nations.
During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Singapore, India and Singapore signed four crucial Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on Thursday. The agreements cover extensive collaboration in digital technologies, semiconductors, health innovation, and education.
The signing ceremony, held at Singapore's Parliament House, was attended by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Singapore's Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, under the watchful eyes of Prime Minister Modi and his Singaporean counterpart Lawrence Wong.
The MoUs set the stage for a stronger relationship between India and Singapore. The agreements include cooperation on digital technologies encompassing digital public infrastructure and cybersecurity, a partnership in the semiconductor sector fostering talent and investment, joint research initiatives in health, and enhanced collaboration in educational and skills development.
