Organised crime in Punjab's ten major cities has reached alarming levels, with law enforcement facing significant challenges in apprehending dangerous suspects. Samaa TV reports that 960 individuals, wanted for serious crimes including illegal occupation, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, and murder, remain at large.

Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, and Faisalabad are the most affected cities. Bahawalpur tops the list with 264 suspects still evading arrest. Dera Ghazi Khan has 134 suspects involved in serious crimes at large, while Faisalabad and Sahiwal have 53 and 55 dangerous suspects, respectively.

Despite considerable efforts, police have only managed to apprehend 491 of the 1,451 identified suspects. The persistent presence of these criminals poses a significant threat to public safety and questions the efficacy of current strategies to combat organised crime in Punjab. The province continues to struggle with various criminal activities, heightened by economic disparities and social issues.
