MoFA Handles 1,880 Emergency Reports for UAE Nationals Abroad During Summer 2024

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs received over 1,880 emergency reports during the summer of 2024. They addressed 95% within 20 seconds, coordinating multiple medical evacuations and issuing critical travel advisories. Satisfaction with services, including the Twajudi registration, soared to 96%.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the UAE has announced that it received more than 4,981 calls, with 1,880 being emergency reports, through its dedicated emergency line for UAE nationals abroad during the summer holiday of 2024.

MoFA said that 95% of emergency reports were addressed in less than 20 seconds, thanks to an automatic redial technology activated within 10 minutes. Seven air and eight land medical evacuations were coordinated with the UAE National Guard and health authorities. Several awareness alerts were also issued regarding travel requirements and the importance of dealing with accredited companies.

Bushra Ahmed Al Matrooshi, Director of MoFA's Nationals' Affairs Department, highlighted the ministry's commitment to evaluating satisfaction levels post-resolution. The Twajudi service registered 10,431 UAE nationals, facilitating communication during crises. The summer's customer satisfaction rate for Return Documents and Twajudi services hit 96%. UAE nationals can access premium services through MoFA's website or smartphone app.
