Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan stated he does not feel intimidated by the arrest of former ISI chief Lt General (Retd) Faiz Hameed, as reported by The Express Tribune. The Pakistan Army announced Hameed's arrest on allegations of violating the Army Act, stemming from a private housing society owner's accusations of misconduct.

Speaking informally with reporters in Adiala Jail, Khan emphasized he wouldn't have called for a judicial commission if he were afraid. He countered Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif's claims that PTI ruined the economy, referencing the Economic Survey of Pakistan to support his argument, per The Express Tribune.

Khan highlighted that the previous government left a USD 19.5 billion deficit, necessitating PTI's talks with the IMF. He dismissed allegations against Lt General (Retd) Faiz Hameed regarding a May 9 conspiracy, asserting that the real conspiracy was against PTI. He claimed two key conspiracies: the removal of Faiz Hameed by General (retd) Bajwa at Nawaz Sharif's request and the hiring of Hussain Haqqani for lobbying.

Imran Khan called for a swift judicial inquiry into the May 9 events and demanded the release of CCTV footage to validate his claims. He accused the establishment of obstructing the probe, stating the case could be resolved quickly with proper evidence. Regarding the February 8 elections, he accused the government of stealing PTI's mandate and demanded an investigation into the alleged fraud.

Notably, Pakistan held its 12th national general election on February 8 amid allegations of rigging and the shutdown of cellular and internet services. Khan voiced concerns about the judiciary's actions, including the Chief Justice's remarks, which he termed politically motivated to extend his tenure, according to The Express Tribune.

Defending his wife, Bushra Bibi, against May 9-related allegations, Khan criticized the establishment for causing national turmoil. He condemned the manipulation of institutions like NAB, police, and FIA for political gains and urged a reconsideration of such actions. Despite restrictions, Khan said he could communicate with party leaders through legal means, as reported by The Express Tribune.

Regarding PTI's internal disputes, Imran Khan urged party members to address anti-corruption issues through the designated committee rather than publicizing them. He appreciated the committee's impartiality and emphasized the effective addressing of corruption-related issues, per ANI.
