Nepali Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba is set to embark on an official five-day visit to India starting Sunday, following an invitation by Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, according to a statement issued by Nepal's Foreign Ministry on Saturday. The agenda includes discussions on strengthening Nepal-India relations and promoting bilateral cooperation, the ministry added.

The visit is part of the regular high-level exchanges between the two nations and aims to consolidate their deep-rooted and multifaceted ties. Confirming the travel plans, an official from Deuba's secretariat told ANI that the Foreign Minister will also tie Rakshabandhan to Vijay Chauthaiwale on Monday.

Initially planned for a medical checkup, Deuba's visit was formalized following an invitation from the Indian Foreign Secretary earlier this week. During her stay in Delhi, she will also engage in talks concerning Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's potential visit to India and may call on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additionally, Deuba will extend formal invitations from Nepali leaders to their Indian counterparts for future visits to Nepal.
