Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a community event in Vienna on Wednesday, marking a historic 75-year friendship with Austria. Modi expressed gratitude to Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer for the warm welcome and noted the significance of his visit as the first by an Indian PM in 41 years.

As Modi took the stage, the audience greeted him with chants of 'Modi, Modi'. He reflected on the long-standing relationship between India and Austria, emphasizing shared values like democracy, liberty, equality, and the rule of law.

Modi also highlighted India's recent general elections, where over 650 million people voted, showcasing the efficiency of India's electoral system. He thanked the Indian public for re-electing his government for a third consecutive term, a rare achievement, and a testament to the desire for stability and continuity.
