Himachal Pradesh's Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dhani Ram Shandil, announced major initiatives in the state's health sector, aiming to adjust staff allocations and finalize 'Model Health Institutions'. These institutions are set for completion within seven months, offering a substantial boost to healthcare infrastructure.
During a Vidhan Sabha session, Shandil provided updates on substantial monetary transfers under the 'Sahara Yojana' and pending payments for the 'Himcare Yojana'. Progress includes tendering for MRI machines, with Rs 105 crore allocated, signaling a focus on upgrading medical technology.
The minister highlighted the ongoing recruitment of 200 specialized doctors and pledged action against those unwilling to serve in remote areas. Additionally, the commencement of robotic surgeries in Chamiyana and Tanda hospitals is underway, as preparations and funding have been secured.
