Max Healthcare Institute announced on Friday its plan to acquire a 64% stake in the financially struggling Jaypee Healthcare for an enterprise value of Rs 1,660 crore.

This acquisition will grant Max Healthcare a controlling stake in Jaypee Healthcare, which includes the flagship 500-bed Jaypee Hospital in Noida, a significant addition to Max's network in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The transaction is part of a strategic agreement with Lakshdeep Group, Jaypee Healthcare's promoter, and is expected to be finalized within the next 30 days, aligning with the revival plan approved by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
