Bihar's Industrial Surge: Growing Investor Confidence Evident in Increased Applications

Between 2020 and 2024, there has been a significant increase in the number of applications received, reflecting increased investor confidence and the success of state promotional policies.

The Bihar State Pollution Control Board (BSPCB) announced on Tuesday that an uptick in the number of industries seeking consent to establish units in the state indicates an industrial growth surge.
According to BSPCB, the latest data reveals a consistent rise in Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) applications, signaling growing investor confidence in the eastern state.
From 2020 to 2024, applications have risen sharply, with 3,578 received in 2020, escalating to 7,933 by 2023. By August 2024, 5,564 applications had already been received, highlighting sustained industrial interest.
The number of approved applications has also increased from 3,171 in 2020 to 6,695 in 2023, showcasing the board's efficiency in processing and supporting industrial ventures. The rise in CTE and CTO applications underscores investors' confidence in Bihar's business environment.
This positive trend highlights Bihar's commitment to fostering an enabling environment for industries, supported by state policies, improved infrastructure, and streamlined regulatory processes.
