In Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district, the tally of injuries linked to alleged wolf attacks has surged to 34, according to Dr. Ashish Verma from the Community Health Centre in Mahasi. 'We have treated all the victims, with two referred to Bahraich District Hospital. Both are stable,' he confirmed.

Addressing the availability of medical resources, Dr. Verma stated, 'The CHC is equipped with the necessary facilities to handle the injuries. Following directives from the Chief Minister's Office, we have an adequate supply of ARBs and ASBs, crucial for treating snake bites, given the flood-prone nature of the area.'

The Uttar Pradesh Police and Forest Department are intensifying their search for two wolves under 'Operation Bhediya.' Previously, four wolves were captured, believed responsible for multiple attacks on villagers.

On Monday night, a five-year-old girl sustained injuries from another suspected wolf attack while sleeping beside her grandmother. Quick action from family and neighbors thwarted the wolf, though it escaped. 'This is the first time a wolf entered our village,' said neighbor Kalim. ADG of the Gorakhpur Zone KS Pratap Kumar announced a coordinated effort involving seven teams and police units assigned to each gram panchayat.

Recent attacks led to the death of a three-year-old girl and injuries to two women, fueling local outrage over administrative negligence. The community demands urgent action to curb the threat.
