The World Health Organization has announced that mpox vaccines are set to arrive in the Democratic Republic of Congo within the next few days to counter a new strain of the virus.
WHO's Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus revealed the timeline during a press conference, stating, "We hope to have the first delivery in the next few days, and then it will build up."
Additionally, another WHO official disclosed that approximately 230,000 mpox doses are immediately available and ready to be dispatched to the region.
