The Delhi High Court has issued an interim injunction in favor of renowned filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt, barring T-Series from using titles incorporating 'Aashiqui' for their upcoming film. The ruling, delivered by Justice Sanjeev Narula on Monday, emphasizes that 'Aashiqui' is part of a well-established and successful film series, dating back to 1990 and 2013.

Mukesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films Private Limited brought the case to court against T-Series' Super Cassettes Industries Limited after learning of their plans to release a film titled 'Tu Hi Aashiqui' or 'Tu Hi Aashiqui Hai.' Bhatt's team argued that these titles could mislead audiences. Both companies had previously collaborated on the first two 'Aashiqui' films.

T-Series has acknowledged the joint ownership of the 'Aashiqui' franchise but denies any intentions of producing a new installment or derivative work. They argue that their proposed titles are distinct and unrelated to the 'Aashiqui' series. Vishesh Films counters that such titles infringe on their proprietary rights and branding associated with the 'Aashiqui' franchise.
