In a unified response to the tragic rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata, all Delhi-based Doctors' Associations (DAs) will hold a silent protest on Friday at Rajiv Chowk. Their goal is to seek justice and push for enhanced safety measures for healthcare professionals.

Members from prominent institutions such as AIIMS, RML, Safdarjung, Maulana Azad Medical College, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, and Northern Railway Central Hospital will participate. The decision follows an official statement that highlighted the suspension of their strike in favor of weekly silent protests until justice is done.

Furthermore, FAIMA, another doctors' association, will hold a peaceful demonstration at Jantar Mantar on Saturday evening. This follows an 11-day strike initiated by doctors nationwide after the trainee's body was discovered on August 9 at a state-run hospital in Kolkata. The doctors resumed their duties following a Supreme Court hearing and its call for enhanced safety measures.
