Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has been diagnosed with scrub typhus and typhoid after being admitted to the hospital with a high fever. He was admitted to Shillong Civil Hospital, where blood tests confirmed the illnesses. His condition is stable and under close medical supervision.

Sangma was taken to Shillong Civil Hospital after he complained of extreme discomfort. The tests confirmed the dual diagnoses, according to hospital officials.

His condition remains stable, and he is under close surveillance by a medical team. Due to his health, Sangma missed the first day of the assembly session.
