Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Monday night, according to official sources.

Oram, who is under the care of Dr. Anant Mohan, head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders, was admitted around 9 pm in the new private ward. "He is stable," an official source reported.

This comes just days after Oram's wife, Jhingia Oram, passed away from dengue at a private hospital in Odisha's Bhubaneswar. Oram himself was receiving treatment for dengue at the same medical facility.
