Around 200 jawans of the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP) succumbed to suspected food poisoning at Bhimnagar in Supaul district, as revealed by police on Monday.

Fortunately, all affected personnel were discharged post-recovery, stated a release from the Bihar Police headquarters in Patna.

Post-lunch on Sunday at the Bhimnagar training center, some jawans reported symptoms like heartburn, stomach ache, vomiting, and loose motion, necessitating their transfer to the local government hospital. Senior district police officials also responded at the scene. Following thorough medical examination, all jawans have now been released. Food items consumed were sent for analysis, and an investigation is ongoing.
