Zika Virus Outbreak in Bengaluru: Five Cases Detected
Five cases of Zika virus have been detected in Jigani, Bengaluru, according to Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao. The cases were found between August 4 and 15. Containment measures have been undertaken and the infection's symptoms and treatment are similar to those of dengue.

Five cases of Zika virus were detected in Bengaluru, Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao announced on Sunday.
According to Rao, the cases were identified in the Jigani area between August 4 and 15. Following the detection of the first case, extensive testing was conducted in the surrounding areas, resulting in the discovery of five Zika infections. Containment measures have since been implemented.
The Minister assured that Zika virus exhibits simple symptoms and its treatment mirrors that of dengue.
