The Indian government is widening the reach of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, offering a yearly cash benefit of Rs 6,000 to every eligible farmer not yet enrolled, announced Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the Lok Sabha.
He appealed to state governments for their cooperation in identifying qualified individuals and ensuring their quick inclusion in the initiative. The government's goal remains to make sure all eligible farmers receive their dues without delay, underlining a commitment to farmer welfare.
Asserting the scheme's equitable nature, Chouhan emphasized that the central government doesn't discriminate between states, highlighting his personal visits to Tamil Nadu to address farmer concerns and to reinforce support for the state's agricultural community.
