Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary has urged the region's security forces to reevaluate their strategies and adopt more robust measures following a series of deadly terror attacks in the Union Territory. Choudhary emphasized the toll these attacks have taken on members of the National Conference, who have consistently advocated for peace in the region.

During a press briefing, Deputy Chief Minister Choudhary expressed his condolences and condemned the recent violence, praising the sacrifices made by countless National Conference leaders and workers. "We are deeply saddened, and the government will not tolerate this," he stated, urging a recalibration of the security grid's policy to ensure lasting peace.

The Deputy CM addressed reporters regarding the ongoing unrest in Kishtwar, highlighting the recent encounter which led to the death of Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar of the 2 Para (Special Forces). This tragedy follows the brutal abduction and murder of two Village Defence Guards, identified as Nazir Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar, in Kishtwar earlier this week.

The surge in violent incidents, including a significant attack on a construction site on the Srinagar-Leh highway, has alarmed authorities and residents alike. A terrorist was neutralized in a recent joint operation in the Sopore area of Baramulla, underscoring the urgent need for revised security measures across Jammu and Kashmir.
