NFL Expands Green Portfolio with New Fertiliser Plant

National Fertilisers Ltd (NFL), India's largest state-owned urea manufacturer, has announced the approval of a major expansion project. The company's board has given the green light for constructing a Rs 208 crore water-soluble fertiliser and micronutrients plant in Madhya Pradesh.
In a strategic shift, NFL has decided to close its nano urea facility located in Nangal, Punjab. This decision was disclosed in a recent regulatory filing.
Currently, NFL operates five gas-based ammonia-urea manufacturing units distributed across Punjab, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh. Its extensive product range includes urea, bio-fertilisers, industrial chemicals, and other agricultural inputs such as certified seeds and agrochemicals.
