Intense search operations resumed on Friday morning in Baramulla as the Indian Army confronted terrorists in a deadly overnight firefight. Tragically, the exchange resulted in the deaths of two soldiers and two civilian porters, with another soldier and porter suffering injuries, confirmed army officials.
The Chinar Corps initially reported a brief firefight on X, noting that personnel had been evacuated for medical attention. Updates confirmed the casualties while announcing continued operations in the area.
On the same day, escalating violence in Kashmir included a terrorist attack in Pulwama's Batgund Tral area, injuring laborer Pritam Singh, a native of Uttar Pradesh. This violence follows a deadly attack on October 20, where a doctor and six workers were killed at a construction site in Ganderbal.
