On Monday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the much-anticipated Lalkuan-Bandra Superfast train via a virtual event from his residence in Dehradun. Hailing the move as the fulfillment of a long-pending public demand, Dhami attributed the achievement to the blessings of Neem Karoli Baba.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Railway Minister, noting that travelers from Mumbai to areas such as Kumaon, Haldwani, Almora, and Pithoragarh would find travel more convenient. This new service is also expected to benefit pilgrims visiting religious sites like Baba Kainchi Dham and Jageshwar.

Dhami highlighted the ongoing efforts under Modi's leadership to usher the Indian Railways into a golden era, citing 'Made in India' initiatives like Vande Bharat trains. The Railways expansion plans include the Rishikesh-Karnprayag line, with survey work completed on the Tanakpur-Bageshwar line. Plans are afoot to enhance connectivity from Uttarakhand to major cities like Kashi and Ayodhya.
