In a tragic incident near Pune, two post-graduate students from Fergusson College drowned in a reservoir during what was supposed to be a fun-filled picnic with friends. The victims, identified as Ojas Anand Kathapurkar and Raj Sambhaji Patil, were both 22 years old.

The incident took place in the Khamboli dam, located in the Mulshi tehsil of Pune district. According to a senior official from the Paud police station, the group of students had entered the dam around 10.30 am. However, it wasn't long before Kathapurkar and Patil began struggling in the water.

As their friends tried to raise the alarm, the local police and a team from the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority's fire department rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts, the bodies of the two students were recovered by locals before official rescue teams could intervene.
